Parenting & Grand Parenting with Love & Logic
Rev. Jeff Gannon
Wednesdays, October 28-November 18 | 6:30-7:30pm**
Parenting and Grand parenting with Love and Logic is a unique approach to and practice of parenting. It is based on one goal: To create responsible children who become responsible adults. It is a parenting practice which teaches that children have the capacity to learn and behave accordingly without the influence of threat, “marching orders” or hovering over them as a helicopter parent. This 4 week class is designed for some initial presentation by Rev. Jeff Gannon and then facilitated conversation and q/a around the parenting principles of the day.

Reading Revelation Responsibly: Beginning with the Letters to the 7 Churches
Father Terry Hedrick
Wednesdays, October 7- November 18 | 5:00pm-6:00pm**
In this short course, just 7 sessions, we will study Revelation chapters 1 to 3. Often one of two approaches is taken by Christians in regard to the book of Revelation (note it is singular, not plural-Revelations); one, is to avoid it altogether as too bizarre and strange or on the other hand it becomes a kind of obsession and is used to try to explain current events, especially in times of national or international crisis and anxiety. The goal of this short course is to rescue it from those who totally misinterpret it and to reclaim it as sacred Scripture for those who would want to simply ignore it. Hence, the title of the class, “Reading Revelation Responsibly: Beginning with the 7 Churches.” This class will last for 7 weeks, Wednesday at 5:00pm-6:00pm on Zoom: October 7, 14, 21, 28, November 4, 11, 18. We will discuss a letter to one of the churches each week. I hope you will join us as we discover what it means to live faithfully in Jesus in difficult times and as we excavate some of the rich spiritual insights given to us through St John who describes himself as “your brother who shares with you in Jesus the persecution and the kingdom and the patient endurance…” (Rev 1:9). Blessings, Fr. Terry J. Hedrick, Ph.D.
