We care deeply about each person God has entrusted to us in our church family, and we want to walk with you on your journey. Not only are our pastors available to provide support and care to those in need, we also have a team of trained lay ministers, called our Congregational Care Ministers (CCMs), who work alongside our pastors to provide care for each member of the Chapel Hill family. Our CCM team is led by Pastor Jen Herndon. Please contact her at jherndon@chwichita.org if you need a pastoral call or visit or would like to be assigned a CCM for support.

Do You Feel Called To Join The CCM Team?

Service opportunities include visiting and praying with those in need, serving home communion, leading worship at care facilities, responding to prayer requests, making phone calls, or sending cards.

Because of the critical nature of this ministry, volunteers must fill out an application, participate in an interview, and attend training sessions. A background check is part of the process. Click here for a list of requirements for serving as a CCM. Submit your application to Pastor Jen Herndon at JHerndon@chwichita.org for consideration.

“You shall love your neighbor as yourself, and walk in the spirit of Jesus Christ.”
Matthew 22:30, Galatians 5:25

PRAYER

It is a privilege to pray for one another, in both joy and sorrow.  We maintain both a pastors-only prayer list for more confidential requests and a prayer list that we send out every week to our prayer team, which is made up of clergy and lay who are passionate about the power of prayer.  Please click here to submit your requests or e-mail them to Pastor Jen at jherndon@chwichita.org.  If you are interested in joining the prayer team to receive the weekly list of requests, please e-mail Pastor Jen.

WEDDINGS

Chapel Hill is honored to be part of a couple’s lifelong commitment to one another! If you’re interested in holding your ceremony at Chapel Hill, here are a few things you need to know.

  • Scheduling: Contact the church office at 316-684-1117 to ensure your desired date is available. A deposit is required at least 60 days prior to your ceremony to secure the date on our master calendar.
  • First Meeting: Once you’ve chosen your date, our office staff will meet with you to discuss our wedding policy and other details of your ceremony.
  • Officiant: You may request any of Chapel Hill’s pastoral staff to perform your ceremony during this initial meeting. Senior Pastor Jeff Gannon will review your request and select the clergy who will serve. Outside clergy may serve at Pastor Jeff’s invitation and discretion.
  • Counseling: Chapel Hill requires pre-marital counseling for all couples prior to their ceremony. You can meet this requirement through your private therapist or counselor, one of our pastors, or by attending Engaged Encounter.
  • Facility Use: Click here to access our free booklet, Planning Your Weddingfor more details on the use of our facilities. The facility fee includes the use of the Sanctuary, one dressing room for the bride and her attendants, and one dressing room for the groom and his attendants. The balance of this fee is due one week prior to the wedding date.
  • Music: Each couple may choose the music and performers they feel best suits the praise, joy, love, and personality of their marriage ceremony. Our sound system is included in the fee structure for all weddings and must be operated by an approved Chapel Hill sound technician. Any additional sound or video requirements must be coordinated with the sound technician well in advance of the event.

FUNERALS

Chapel Hill is honored to host funerals for those within our congregation and for those in need of God’s grace and acceptance at the loss of a loved one. Our lay ministry also works with families to provide meals before or after funeral services.
