All are welcome to help, however, it may not be the night to bring young kids as we will be doing a lot of carrying large items around.

In the month of July, our new Faith Word is BELONGING. This Sunday we will learn about the story of “The Woman at the Well”(John 4:4-30, 39-42)). Join us!
We will not have sign-ups for 9:30 Sunday School during the Summer due to lower attendance. Come when you can! Nursery will be available at BOTH 9:30 and 11:00 services. No Sunday School at 11:00. We have clipboards outside the sanctuary available for kids attending worship.
Kids will now attend their Sunday School classes according to their grade level for next year. Here are the room assignments for the summer:
- Birth-Prekindergarten: Nursery in Fellowship Hall
- Kindergarten & 1st Grade: LL-31 in Children’s Wing
- 2nd & 3rd Grade: LL29 in Children’s Wing

REMINDER: If you have a 3rd, 4th or 5th grader that has a Deep Blue Bible, please help them remember to bring it with them to Sunday school each week! We don’t have many extras of that particular version at the church and they will be looking up and reading scripture every time they come to church from now on.

Please share these links with your friends and family with little ones at home in need of a safe, loving place to care for them while they get a little break!
Don’t forget to check our Chapel Hill Kids Facebook Group regularly for the most up to date information. If you haven’t checked your child’s information on the birthday post from December 29th, please make sure you do so as soon as possible. I have marked it as an announcement so you can easily find it. If you have moved in the last year, please contact the office so that we have your correct address on file so they can receive some birthday mail. The office number is (316) 684-1117.
Blessings to you and your children,

Celebrate Wonder is a Sunday school curriculum that engages children’s natural sense of curiosity to help them understand God’s love. It creates a safe environment for kids to ask big questions — helping them explore the Bible in ways that feed their imagination and encourages creativity. Through carefully-selected Bible stories, songs, videos, and hands-on activities, Celebrate Wonder gives children the tools to explore their faith while incorporating it into their daily lives.
July Faith Word

Each month, our weekly stories will align with a Faith Word. The Faith Word for the month of July is, “Belong”.

Bible Story Preview
In today’s Bible story, a woman of Samaritan descent is gathering water from a well. Jesus is there and has an important conversation with her. The woman recognizes Jesus as the Messiah and becomes a witness to others. However, in these times, Jews and Samaritans do not talk to each other, nor do men and women who do not know each other. Yet, Jesus talks to the Samaritan woman. Jesus gives an example of how to include everyone in God’s love.
Jesus knows, before the woman tells him, who she is and how she lives. Yet, he continues to talk to her and shows her that she belongs to God. The children may wonder about living water. What might this mean? Water is a connection to so many things. We even use water at church during the sacrament of baptism. Water is in many other Bible stories. When we think of living water, we can remember Jesus’ message that we all belong to God.
Water connects people. In this story, water connects Jesus to the woman at the well. Help children think about connection and belonging. When we feel that we belong, we are connected to one another and to God’s family. Living water is a great example of how we can be a connected body of Christ.

Spiritual Practice for Adults
This week, find a body of water. If you are unable to go to a body of water, fill up a bowl of water at home. Touch the water with your fingers. As the water drips off your fingers, say this prayer: “God of living water, God of ever-flowing life, I belong to you. Amen.”
Sit near the water for a few minutes. Listen to the sound of the water. Notice the water’s continuous motion. As you let your senses take in the water, remember that we all are connected through this nourishment of God’s love through the living water of Christ.
