Prayer for new beginnings:
Author of faith,
We begin
firsts, lasts and in-betweens.
Keep us in your care.
Fill those who learn with wonder,
fill those who teach with passion.
Grant to all patience and humor,
Love and light,
Sense of direction and purpose.
With thanks we turn towards the future.
Allow our power to be put to good,
Our hands to be put to creativity,
Our eyes to be put to kindness,
Our ears to be put to caring,
And our hearts to belong to you.
By the love of God,
the grace of Christ,
and the binding strength
of the Holy Spirit
we pray.
Amen.
