One of the most quoted Scriptures in the whole Bible is Philippians 4:13. It is often translated as “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength!” As biblical scholar, Jack Levison, says, “Is this true? Can you do all things through Christ who strengthens you? Can you pass a chemistry exam without studying because Christ strengthens you? Can you run a mile without training because Christ strengthens you?” Accurate translation from the original language, in this case, Greek, makes a huge difference. A more accurate translation of Philippians 4:13 is, “I can face all things through Christ who gives me power!”
Recently, I had a person tell me what you have likely heard before, “God won’t give you any more than you handle.” The person said, “What do you think about that saying?” I responded and said, “I much prefer the expression, ‘God will help you handle whatever you are facing!”
In the words of the Apostle Paul, “If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:1)
Therefore, we can still be in one peace!
