SUMMER NOTES:

Our LOCAL MISSION TRIP was a great success!  We are grateful for the support of the church, as well as your thoughts and prayers as we went to work…

IN OUR OWN BACKYARD!

MIDDLE SCHOOL (6th – 8th grade):

THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR HELP IN THE GARDEN THIS SUMMER!

Your helping hands made a huge difference in our garden care and harvest.  Please continue to visit the garden anytime.  There a many tomatoes that are about to ripen–take your pick!   Along with anything else that you would be delicious, fragrant or beautiful!

Thank you to Rev. Dr. Lisa for her guidance and inspiration, Marion McElroy for her presence and direction, and Aaron Doell for his leadership and strength!

HIGH SCHOOL (9th – 12th+ )

attended Amp it UP @ the SUMMIT 2 weeks ago:

In Christian fellowship we cooked (& ate!), studied & considered God’s call upon our lives, played, hiked, and worshipped. The spirit was strong–as we connected with each other, learned, rested & celebrated the goodness of God.

A shoot shall come out from the stump of Jesse,
and a branch shall grow out of his roots.
The spirit of the Lord shall rest on him,
the spirit of wisdom and understanding,
the spirit of counsel and might,
the spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.

-Isaiah 11: 1-2 (NRSV)

VBS was GREAT!

Arise! Shine! Your light has come; the Lord’s glory has shone upon you! (Isaiah 60:1)

Thank you to all of our youth & young adults who brought leadership!

Special thanks to Sarah Miller for playing piano for VBS music all week!

PRAYER:

Almighty God,

may the transforming power

of your gospel

be at work in my life today and always.

Amen.
