Joel 2:1-2 & 12-1, Psalm 51:1-17, 2 Corinthians 5:20b-6:10, and Matthew 6:1-6 & 16-21

Wise words:

“If you are uncertain (in your journey) of which path to take…

choose the one on which the shadow of the cross falls.”

Hugh Walpole

Stop.   Pause.  Something sacred is at stake.

Something sacred is always at stake.

It is time…to give something up, to set something down, to take something up, to embrace, to move through the wilderness, to journey towards the resurrection.

Do it now.  Don’t wait.  The invitation to God’s design is recognized in the opening of the heart to the majesty of grace.

We are called to continue in the Lenten journey as we set aside something that creates a separtion in our lives, or take up something that allows us to embrace life…fully.

Lent is an invitation to Christian life.

Sisters and brothers in Christ, let us keep a Holy Lent.
