Become a Reading Buddy at Colvin Elementary

Did you know that building a strong literacy foundation by the end of 3rd grade is the single greatest predictor of a student’s future success?

Chapel Hill is partnering with Colvin Elementary in Planeview through their Reading Buddies program, pairing adult volunteers with 2nd and 3rd graders to boost reading skills, confidence, and connection.

Serving Times for the 2026–2027 School Year

Reading Buddies meet on Wednesday afternoons:

  • 3rd Grade: 1:15 PM – 1:55 PM

  • 2nd Grade: 3:20 PM – 4:00 PM
